Did I tell you I'm taking courses at NAU? - Northern Arizona U. - toward an MBA? Business communication in the nineties.
What are the legalities of FAXing? Our professor says that he never faxed when he was young. He was only allowed to write memos until he was 21. How old should a person be before they are allowed to fax?
Our class is debating whether Faxing can be performed at any age and if everyone can have safe fax once they learn the correct procedures. One girl thinks that she has to be married to have safe fax. I'm sure some married people fax quite often but can you believe that single people fax total strangers every day?
There are now a couple of places on campus where students can go and pay to fax. Is that legal? Our professor says that there are many people who have no other way to fax other than pay a professional and that unless you're really sure of the one you're faxing, a cover should always be used to ensure safe fax.
One guy was worried about what would happen if he forgot the correct procedure and faxed prematurely. The teacher said, "Don't panic. Many people fax prematurely, especially if they haven't faxed in a long time. Just take your time and start over. You'll find most people don't mind."
I get afraid that if I have both a personal and a business fax I'll get my transmissions mixed up. The girl at the Fax place said that it scares a lot of people at first, and that being bi-faxual can be confusing, but that as long as you use a cover with each one, you won't transmit anything you're not suppose to.
Since Faxing has become relatively inexpensive, it seems to be an everyday way of life for a lot of folks. But since it is new to me, I just want to be sure I'm faxing safely. Can you help me out? In another class - business finance, the theory is that with the current price of apples, it's cheaper to use a doctor. One kid talked turkey about a loan with the SBA. They refused to lend him any money, but they did give him the bird. Our professor says that was because anymore, there is no such thing as petty cash.
In my humanities class we learned Pavlov's principle: When the bell rings, there had better be some supper because next to the dog, the waste basket is man's best friend.
In my Biblical geography class the professor said, "In the beginning God created heaven and earth. God was then faced with a class action suit for failing to file an environmental impact statement. God was granted a temporary permit for the heavenly portion of the project, but was issued a "cease and desist" order on the earthly part, pending further investigation by HEPA (HeavenlyEPA). When God said `Let there be light' the HEPA immediately protested - not knowing whether the light would be coal or nuclear-fired; whether there would be thermal pollution or smog. The HEPA issued a burning permit but when God said he would complete the project in 7 days they couldn't do it because it takes them a minimum of 180 days to review the application and hold a public hearing." Do you know any lawyers on God's side?
